With two-lifetime achievement awards honored to her, one from Pratt Institute and the other from Fashion Institute of Technology, Fern Mallis shares with us her perspective on the evolution of the industry since she embarked on her journey, as well as her outlook on the future of the fashion industry.
Mallis is currently President of her own fashion and design consultancy, Fern Mallis LLC, which works with international and domestic fashion, lifestyle and design companies on branding, image, creative business strategies, and event production. Apart from her influence within the fashion industry, Fern Mallis is widely credited for her philanthropic and charity work including fundraising for AIDS, homeless alleviation programs, breast cancer, design scholarships and numerous other initiatives to benefit the community.
