  • How to improve your strategic decisions when it comes to managing your samples each season.
  • How effective sample management can improve the health of fashion businesses.

Take a Deeper Dive:

This episode explores why there is a firm necessity for internal tracking when it comes to fashion brands. With the rise of fast-fashion and eCommerce shopping, larger volumes of samples are moving at a quicker pace, over a shorter period of time, and so the risk of monetary loss has also increased. In order to keep up in a digital landscape, within an increasingly saturated market, the sample process flow has changed for most brands in the industry. It is important not only that samples are accounted for, but also that they reach photo studios, media outlets, and digital creators on time in order to up brand profitability, and increase both awareness and sales. Whilst the loss of one sample might account for a unit cost of $2 for example, the impact of losing, missing or sending late samples can represent up to $10 million in some cases.

Therefore, it is essential that companies in the fashion industry evaluate their sample management processes in order to improve their overall processes and reduce monetary losses.
